The game is a sequel to the 2010 release, Call of Duty®: Black Ops, and features returning Black Ops characters Sgt. Frank Woods and Agent Alex Mason, joined by a wealth of new characters. To Understand the Future, you Must Understand the Past

Pushing the boundaries of what fans have come to expect from the record-setting entertainment franchise, Call of Duty®: Black Ops II propels players into a near future, 21st Century Cold War, where technology and weapons have converged to create a new generation of warfare between old and new foes. In this conflict, the mechanized creations of men reign supreme, facing off against each other as their creators stay safe and unconflicted, and in the process grow ever softer. In this scenario an important question will be asked: What happens when enemy steals the keys? To understand such a possible future, you must understand where you have been. Players of Call of Duty®: Black Ops II gain an understanding of this and more through the game's additional timeline set in the late Cold War era of the 1980's. Within the campaign story, which spans these two eras, players will see familiar faces such as Alex Mason, his son David Mason, and Sgt. Frank Woods. Linking these together will be the rise of another player in the conflict, Raul Menendez.

Some User Reviews

I know a lot of people think that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 was one of the worst Call of Duty games in the franchise, but I would argue it being one of the best! Black Ops 2 has an incredible campaign, I love the way you move from timeline to timeline, it keeps you intrested the whole way through, and it's a pretty long campaign for most COD games. I read that a lot of people thought the game had bad graphics, but I think they look amazing, and you can't expect to have Crysis 3 graphics when they only have 2 years to make it, and they don't have graphic engines like, Crytek Engine 3, or Frostbit Technology, and you have to give them a brake, if they give you a game that kicks butt, don't say it's a bad game cuz you can't see the characters eye lashes! Now don't get me started on Muliteplayer, it is by far thee best COD Multiplayer yet, it does have a lag problems like every other game known to human kind, but that's not the game developers fault! If some one joins a game and has a bad connection they are going to make the game lag, that's a fact, there is no way around it. Now about Zombies, that it the part I have played the most, it is a big reason why I think this game is so amazing, they made the zombies look even more scary, and the different games types within zombies is really cool, I know anyone would have a lot of fun just with killing thee undead all day with there friends! So over all I would say this is an amazing game and I would recommend it to anyone!
